About us

We have always been dog lovers. My first memory of being a dog lover was when I was a 7 year old little girl.

We lived on a farm, and had rented land to grow hay. My father, mother, three brothers and I were out all day on the land, baling hay. There was this enormous old barn, and I, being the baby of the family, got to play in the barn most of the day while everyone else toiled.

During the day, I made friends with this stray dog. A matted mess of a golden collie. When we were ready to leave, I begged my father and mother to let me take "Little Jimmy Dickens" home, but they refused.

For a reward for the day, my father took us all to a steak house for dinner. I ordered the "King cut steak", being the largest on the menu. My father knew I would not eat it, but allowed me to order it because I had three strapping brothers that would finish off any leftovers; but I refused to let them have it, and again begged my father to let me take the meat back to the very hungry "Little Jimmy Dickens". Needless to say, we gained another member of the family that day, and had him for many years to come. Jimmy was my best friend, and I hope you have the chance in your life to have a friend as true as he was to me.

We started this store so that pet owners had an outlet to purchase the things they need to spoil their pets.
